The Village Well

The new year is off to a great start and best wishes to all our Village Well families that are going through the preschool and Kindergarten application process. Remember that every child finds a place, and over my decades of working with families, everyone seems to end up being exactly where they are meant to be. There is much too much stress connected to this process and it is sad to see parents swirling in this fog of uncertainty.

Try to let go of the outcome and trust that your little ones will do just fine.

Part of my work now, as founder of the Slow Parenting Movement, is to help remind you to pause, be mindful of how you use your energy and learn to trust your instincts.

I will be offering parenting support seminars and workshops In the coming months  For over 3 decades I have worked with families in Britain and America and will be sharing my exceptional insights and wisdom in a variety of forums here at TVW.

Stay tuned for the first session of classes starting in February.

Website Changes and MindBody Payment System

TVW is updating its systems and we are about to launch our new website. We are also changing over to the MindBody payment system. This will allow you to renew easily on line and track your membership with great ease.

Please be patient while we make these changes as there might be the occasional glitch but we look forward to having a streamlined registration process and more up to date website.

Outreach from TVW community

TVW is dedicated to helping all families with young children and this includes those less fortunate, here in San Francisco. Our ongoing donations of household items, clothing, toys, diapers, etc. are always so appreciated.

Here are some photos from TVW outreach over the Christmas period. We donated many gifts to Canon Barcus House and underwrote the Children’s Winter Camp at Compass Shelter.

The Compass families were particularly grateful as the children were able to go ice skating, visit some museums and even do a family bowling  outing.

Would you like to become more involved in the community?

We are looking for parents who would like to dedicate some time to help at the Compass Shelter.

ESL is a particular need right now and helping with weekly visits to read stories to the children are projects being established.

Let Miss Jean know if interested and what your available time would be.
